APCA Executive Director Dr. Eve Namisango has been invited by Harvard Medical School to speak in its Global Palliative Care Lecture Series for the 2026 to 2027 academic year. The virtual seminar takes place on Thursday 12 November 2026, and colleagues across Africa and beyond are warmly invited to register and join.

About the seminar
The invitation came from the Program in Global Palliative Care at Harvard Medical School, which asked Dr. Namisango to speak about palliative care in Africa and her vision for its future. The talk will look at where palliative care stands across the continent today and where it needs to go next.
Seminars in the series run as a lecture followed by open discussion, giving participants the chance to put their questions directly to the speaker.

About the speaker
Dr. Eve Namisango

Dr. Namisango has led APCA since November 2025, having previously headed the association's research, learning and programmes work. Her research spans children's palliative care, outcome measurement and the evidence base for palliative care in African settings.
