The African Palliative Care Association (APCA) and the True Colours Trust are pleased to announce the nine successful grantees of the 32nd Africa Small Grants round.
A total of £44,497.24 has been awarded to organisations working to strengthen palliative care in seven African countries: the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi and Mozambique.

Kamuzu University of Health Sciences– Malawi
The grants will run for one year from 15 June 2026, supporting initiatives that address practical gaps in palliative care, including essential medicines, home-based care, community outreach, health-worker and volunteer training, transport, equipment, psychosocial support, home-based palliative care learning for palliative care students undertaking their studies at Kamuzu University and mobile palliative care services.
The 32nd call was launched on 30 October 2025 and received 195 applications from 24 African countries. We sincerely thank everyone who applied and shared their ideas, experience and commitment to improving palliative care in their communities.
We also extend our appreciation to the reviewers who gave their time and expertise to assess the applications and support the selection process.
