In addition to being the overall governance body into which the General Assembly vests its powers, the board at APCA contributes significantly to the work of the organization through their skills, contribution of their time and resources as well as enlarging the network for APCA sustainability. IRENE AMONG

Ms. Irene Among-Lutz is a Social Development Specialist, with a Msc. Degree in International Development from Birmingham University, United Kingdom. She advises donor agencies, NGOs and Government Departments. She has extensive experience in international development – particularly in the thematic areas of poverty and development, public health, gender equality, social protection, disability and development, and monitoring and evaluation.

JOEL KAKITSHA MWINONGO

He is a Medical Doctor who has focused his career on the provision of clinical services and the development of community-based health care including palliative care. He started his professional career in D.R.Congo where he graduated as Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kisangani in December 2002 and he is now a Master of Public Health 2019 candidate from the University College Cork in Ireland.

Thobekile V Finger

Ms. T Finger is currently the Technical Director (TD) employed by The Aurum Institute. In this position, she is primary responsible for coordinating technical aspects of Health Systems Division (HSD), in the area of HIV & TB Care & Treatment activities. Providing strategic guidance for the development and implementation of HIV/AIDS & TB interventions ensuring conformity with global trends, country, and clinical standards, and assuring high-quality implementation.

Dr. David Kariuki is a Senior Deputy Director of Medical Services, and Head, Department of Health Policy and Research Development, previously Head, Universal Health Coverage Coordination in the Ministry of Health, Republic of Kenya.

Dr Rene Krause

Dr Krause is a Family Physician with a masters degree in Palliative Medicine and a postgraduate diploma in Health Professional education. She is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health (University of Cape town) and convenor of the postgraduate diploma in Palliative Medicine.

MAHER FAWZY is an Emeritus Professor of Anaesthesia, Surgical Intensive Care and Pain Management, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University (2015 to date). Along with his MD in Anaesthesia, he has an LLB in Law.

Dr Paul Zebadia Mmbando

Dr Paul Zebadia Mmbando is a Health Programs Director and the Head of Palliative Care Program at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT) – the largest Palliative care program in Tanzania – with about 25 Active Hospital based Palliative Care Programs mostly in the rural setting of Tanzania.

Ms. DM Aphane

I started my own business Kgora Basetsana Consultancy five years ago working with Organizations NGO's/NPO's through developed Forums, Facilitating growth through skills development and training on Health accreditated courses and awareness in provinces of South Africa. The company is also involved in facilitation of HIV and AIDS Awareness campaign's to communities and In-training at various South African mines.
