Volunteer, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system development

The Volunteer- Monitoring and Evaluation system development, will support the revision and redevelopment of the overall M&E system for APCA that can facilitate the tracking of progress against APCA’s strategic plan and ensuring that there is ongoing monitoring and evaluation of APCA’s work and activities in line with the statutory, donor and ethical requirements for desired impact. This role is good for a person who is able to offer at least 6 months of volunteer work physically or remotely as part of the APCA staff team.

Key result areas and responsibilities.

  • Support the review APCA’s M&E processes, activities and tools and development of a clear M&E system.
  • Support both organisational and project related M&E activities.
  • Developing and inspiring APCA’s staff on M&E
  • Support APCA’s M&E Officer in ensuring that M&E data informs the ongoing improvement of APCA’s planning, interventions and outcomes and impact.
  • Support the use of APCA’s M&E data in the organisation’s communications and fundraising.
  •  Performing  programme evaluations

Minimum Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in economics, statistics,  or other related development field
  • Post graduate training in Monitoring and Evaluation is an advantage

Required skills

  • Engagement in Monitoring and Evaluation in a Non-Government organization, company or government department.
  • Hands on experience in the development of and running of an M&E system.
